Dillon Speedway Annual Summer Break Each Year Starts Today! Dillon Motor Speedway Is Cancelling This Weekends Racing Event July 26th Due To The Risks Of Triple Digits (108) Excessive Heat! Dillon Motor Speedway For Years Has Always Taken The HOT Month Off In August! We Are Going To Start Our Summer Break A Week Early Because Of The Extreme Heat Advisory Warning For The Area. The Last Race We Had At The Dillon Motor Speedway Was A Couple Weeks Ago July 12th And The Place Was Packed With Race Cars. That Weekend We Had 4 People Treated At The Ambulance For Heat Related Symptoms And This Coming Weekend Is Suppose To Be Much Hotter With Heat Index Of Close To 110 Degrees. We Start Out Racing In January So We Can Take Off For The High Heat Months. We Were Hoping We Could Get One More Race In Before The HOT August Heat Got Here But It Came A Few Weeks Early. We Are Making This Call For The Safety Of Our Drivers, Fans, Employees And For The Families.
The Next Race At The Dillon Motor Speedway Will Be Our Annual Labor Day Monday Event With Green Flag At 3pm. This Race Will Feature Late Models, Super Trucks And Support Classes. We Will Start Our Summer Break One Week Early This Year And Will Not Be Racing This Saturday July 26th Due To The Heat.
